DCGC Club Championship Final Played on No. 1 (26/8/18)

The 2018 Club Championship Final resulted in Benn MacLeod winning 5 & 3 up.

Benn got off to a fast start, being 3 under par after three holes and 3 up.  A brief rally by Stewart with a birdie at the 6th was followed by a solid finish to the front nine by Benn to turn in 32 and 5 up. Stewart rallied to 3 down following the 12th.  However, Benn responded to see out the match with a fantastic approach to the 15th for a winning birdie.  Congratulations to both for a match played in the best of spirits.

DCGC B Division Club Championship Final Played on No. 1 (26/8/18)

The 2018 B Div. Final resulted in Keith Anderson winning by sudden death at the 20th.

The final was played in a tremendous spirit between both the players and their caddies (Jeff Aitken and Kevin Thomson).  It was a terrific match-play final that was fiercely fought by both players.  Michael was striking the ball very well but Keith, after missing a relatively short putt early on, holed a large number of 5/6 foot putts to both halve and win holes at crucial stages.  Michael won the 18th to halve the match.  After excellent pars by both players at the 19th, the match was won by Keith at the second extra hole. Congratulations to both players.
